Internal Revenue Service Notice 2011-94 invites comments from the public about excluding from gross income payments under governmental social benefits programs. Several tribes have asked the IRS to provide guidance about whether programs that the tribes provide to their members qualify for this exclusion. read more

The National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC/Commission) will hold a consultation on December 5, 2011 at the Clearwater Casino Resort in Suquamish, Washington. This consultation session is an opportunity for Tribal leaders to provide the Commission with substantive input during the regulatory review process. read more
