Tribal leaders will gather in Washington DC on December 4 and 5 to attend two high-level events–the 2012 White House Tribal Nations Conference and the National Indian Gaming Association's Tribal Leaders Winter Legislative Summit.

In a decision issued November 13, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals dismissed a challenge to the tribal cigarette taxing authority, upholding the district court ruling.
