There are approximately 3 million American Indians in the U.S. – 1 percent of the population – with the tribal population representing a significant voting bloc in several states. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Indians make up 13.1 percent of the vote in Alaska, 4.5 percent of the vote in Arizona, 5.2 percent in North Dakota, 6.4 percent in Montana, 7.7 percent in Oklahoma, 8.5 percent in South Dakota and almost 10 percent in New Mexico, and almost 3% in Washington.

There is an interesting non-partisan resource to check out, Native Vote 2012, which is a web site with information encouraging voter turnout in Indian country.
