In another example of tribes partnering with local governments to bolster community services, the Jamestown S’Klallam tribe has committed funds to support a second law enforcement officer in their local jurisdiction of Clallam County, Washington. The Jamestown S’Klallam tribe secured $162,862 in federal Bureau of Indian Affairs funds to support the County's second full-time deputy position in the first year and has committed $100,000 annually in subsequent years.
